David Henshaw’s Farmer Jock cartoon characters, bigger than they’ve ever been seen before, proudly adorn the Pukekohe East School bus. It’s the world’s first and only Farmer Jock Bus.

The late David Henshaw brought humour to farmers nationwide for four decades with his character Farmer Jock. His ‘Jock’ cartoons appeared in the New Zealand Farmer magazine for 34 years, he published books and he illustrated an extensive range of agricultural publications. In 2011 he became an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit. Read Franklin County News’ article Farmer Jock Lives on with Bus.

Mr Henshaw always had a special interest in child education, and he went out of his way through his cartooning to help children of all ages. He kindly granted Pukekohe East School permission to use his iconic Jock cartoon characters. We are grateful to the Henshaw family for their ongoing support.
