Term 4 2026 | Bus Society Update

Stay tuned for upcoming Christmas raffle:
The Bus Society’s final fundraiser for the year is the very popular Christmas raffle. We will send raffle books home in November and host a Casual Dress Day in December before drawing the raffle winners in the last week of term 4. More details will be shared in Skool Loop / Seesaw / upcoming school newsletters. Thanks to Ainsley Polo, Huski, 100% Whangamata, Brandt and the Iron Yard for donating some prizes!  If you have any Christmas-themed items / prizes to donate for the raffle, please let us know: admin@pukekoheeastschoolbus.org 

Bus fees:
As we embark on term 4, thanks for being diligent with paying bus fees on time. As parent volunteers operating a non-profit service, we rely on our school families and wider community to help with bus operations. For those paying monthly, the last payment is 15 December before school finishes up this year. 

Grants and other fundraising updates:
We are pleased to be a recipient of $3,000 in grants from the Four Winds Foundation to go towards bus driver wages. We are truly 100% community funded and cannot thank the Four Winds Foundation, our loyal bus advertisers and the wider Pukekohe community enough.

Save the date: Bus Society meeting on 9 November
The Bus Society meets once per term and all bus families are welcome to attend – a great opportunity to learn more about the bus operations, fundraising, grants and more. The final meeting for the year is 9 November at school.

Next week, Louise will once again host a charity golf day after the success of last year’s golf event. Only a few team slots left so get in quick if you want to play on Friday 16 October (Maxwell’s Golf & Events): Register Online

Raffle success!

Many thanks to Mike Murphy Real Estate, Te Arai Links, Pukekohe East School families and Pukekohe Golf Club members for all the amazing mahi to help raise more than $4,000 for the Pukekohe East Primary School Bus! The winner of the amazing four-ball raffle prize to Te Arai Links is ticket number: 0027 🚌

Every $ goes towards keeping school bus operations running in its 80th anniversary of the service (especially with rising diesel costs!). We are one of three school buses in the country that is operated by parent volunteers and is 100% community funded. We can’t thank everyone enough for all the support! 🚌

Tickets on sale now: Te Arai Links raffle tickets (drawn on 29 July 2026)
Our 80th anniversary celebration continues! We have teamed up with Mike Murphy Bayleys Real Estate to run a raffle for a chance to win a 4-ball package to the world-class Te Arai Links golf course (valued at $2,100). We have been selling raffle tickets in-person at Pukekohe Golf Club ($15 per ticket or 3x tickets for $35) and are due to go back there on 22 July and 23 July.  If you/friend/family would like to buy a ticket(s), please message Angely (021303403) and she will get a ticket(s) sorted for you.

As it’s election year – Karla, Robyn and Angely met with Andrew Bayly’s office in Pukekohe to chat through our bus society operations, fundraising initiatives and explored other support avenues!  We also received another $2,000 in grants from the Four Winds Foundation to go towards bus driver wages. We are truly 100% community funded and cannot thank the wider Pukekohe community enough.

Thank you | 80th anniversary Bus Bingo

We are so incredibly grateful to all the generous businesses, local community and school families who supported our 80s glitz and glam bus bingo fundraising event on the weekend!

The generous donations have helped us to create a fantastic lineup of bingo, raffle and auction prizes and experiences, and your support means the world to our school community. We had a full house of guests in their 80s outfits (sequins, neon, glitter, wigs, side pony tails and more!) enjoying a night of music bingo, pizza, grazing platters and drinks.

All your generosity has made a real difference. Preliminary numbers for the fundraising is $4,100 raised! Every dollar goes towards keeping the Pukekohe East School Bus running in it’s 80th year.
