We are so incredibly grateful to all the generous businesses, local community and school families who supported our 80s glitz and glam bus bingo fundraising event on the weekend!
The generous donations have helped us to create a fantastic lineup of bingo, raffle and auction prizes and experiences, and your support means the world to our school community. We had a full house of guests in their 80s outfits (sequins, neon, glitter, wigs, side pony tails and more!) enjoying a night of music bingo, pizza, grazing platters and drinks.
All your generosity has made a real difference. Preliminary numbers for the fundraising is $4,100 raised! Every dollar goes towards keeping the Pukekohe East School Bus running in it’s 80th year.
Thank you for helping us make this event a success—we couldn’t do it without you!
Thanks to the Franklin Times for sharing our story of the 80th anniversary of the school bus.
We are so grateful for the support from our school families, local business advertisers and the wider community – especially members of the Bus Society, school teachers and staff (past and present)!
A friendly reminder that the Term 3 Bus Society meeting is on tonight. All bus families are welcome to come along and learn more about bus operations, fundraising etc.
Where: Mai Lighthouse, Pukekohe Date: Mon 28 July 2025 Time: 7pm – 8pm
Thanks to everyone who came along with their red and black flannel shirts, wigs, real mullets and rock tees to help us fundraise bogan style on Saturday night!
We had a hall full of rockers for drinks, dinner, musical bingo and some epic raffles and silent auctions!
Congrats to all the winners on the night. All in all, we are chuffed to raise close to $4,000! Every $ goes towards keeping the school bus running (since 1946 in fact!) so a huge thank you to everyone especially in a tough economic environment and ongoing cost of living pressures.
Many thanks also to our sponsors, supporters and wider community (the full list is below).
And another massive thank you to our bus society team members for putting on the event and to our driver for driving guests in our ‘party’ bus (all are volunteers and families of the school – so we couldn’t do this without you all).
Stay tuned for next year’s event as the Bus Society celebrates 80 yrs since launching the first school bus service for our school!
Hope you are all having a relaxing break these school holidays. Here’s a quick update from the Bus Society for Term 2!
