About Us

Our school bus is owned and operated by the Pukekohe East School Bus Society, a non-profit organisation operated and supported by parent volunteers.

Every child at Pukekohe East School benefits from the bus, through transport to sports and special events, and educational classroom outings. Around half of our school children also rely on the bus to get to and from school.

The school bus gets no government funding. It is 100% community-funded.

How the Bus Society Works
Families who pay bus fees are members of the bus society and have the right to vote at bus society general meetings. Each year at the Annual General Meeting, the members elect an executive team to manage and direct the business of the bus society. The executive team elects its own chairperson.

Bus society meetings are convened once a school term. These meetings are open to all school families.
