All Blacks School Bus Fever

Today Gail is giving our kids a special ride home on an ‘All Blacks School Bus’ in anticipation of the All Blacks semi-final against South Africa in the weekend.

All bus children have been given the opportunity to guess the semi-final winning team, final score, first try and first penalty to go in the draw for prizes. Winners will be announced on the bus Wednesday afternoon.

In addition, lucky kids onboard the bus this afternoon will each receive an All-Blacks t-shirt competition entry card to take home. On one side is a player number and on the reverse are questions about that All Black player’s performance in the semi-final. Kids need to complete and return their card to Gail on Wednesday morning to be eligible for another special prize draw.

Go the All Blacks!

Bus Route Feedback Forms Due Friday

Thanks to those families who have provided feedback on the bus route for 2016. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know if the current bus route is meeting your needs, or if you’d like to suggest changes for next year.

Tomorrow is the last day to submit your bus route feedback form. Please return your feedback form to the school office, or you may prefer to complete the form online here.

A change to the bus timetable can have a large effect on families with work commitments and after school activities. If you depend on the bus, it’s important that you participate in the bus route review process.

School Bus Route Review for 2016

This term the school bus route is being reviewed by the bus society executive to determine the optimum school bus route for 2016.

Families move in and out of the area throughout the year and the 2016 school bus route will be based on anticipated demand, parent and driver feedback, and distance/cost factors.

A change to the bus timetable can have a large effect on families with work commitments and after school activities. If you depend on the bus, it’s important that you participate in the bus route review process.

We urge all bus families, and families interested in using the bus, to get involved in the bus route review process; the earlier the better using the feedback form that was sent home today.

Please submit your views on the current bus route even if you want the route to remain the same. Please return your feedback form to the school office by Friday 23 October, or you may prefer to complete the form online here.

You’ll have further opportunity to give feedback at the Bus Route Review Meeting on 16th November. Read more>

Help! We need a Casual Driver

We’re still on the lookout for a casual bus driver for daytime school trips. Ideally this person would have ties to the school community; be a parent, grandparent, relative, or friend of a friend. Fabulous opportunity to accompany your child on school excursions and be paid for your time.

To drive the school bus you must hold a Class 2 license with P endorsement and be able to drive manual. The Bus Society will fund your P endorsement if required.

Please see Gail in the school office if you or someone you know is interested in joining our fantastic team of bus drivers.
