New Bus Driver Required

After 30 years of faithful service driving our school bus, Judy Shutt has decided it’s time to retire in June. We are seeking a new driver, ideally someone connected to the school community with HT and passenger licenses. If they don’t hold these licenses we could help fund their applications. Do you know anyone suitable? If so, please contact Kristen.

Bus Driver Job Description
Hours are Monday to Friday during term time, from 8am to 9am in the morning, and again in the afternoon from 3pm to 4pm. In addition to these regular hours, the bus transports children on classroom day trips, sports days, and to school camps. It would be possible to job share with another driver. For example one person might work mornings and the other in the afternoons, or they might work alternate days.

Seeking Maintenance Assistance

We are very lucky to have Graeme McNeil carry out the bus maintenance as required, and also undertake regular maintenance servicing and COF requirements in the school holidays. Graeme is happy to continue for now but would like to train someone who could take over his maintenance responsibilities in the near future. If you are interested and have mechanical expertise, please contact Kristen.

New Treasurer Required

Currently Donna Lovell is Treasurer of the Bus Society. She plans to exit next year when her son finishes school. We need a new treasurer to come on board this year to learn the ropes alongside Donna. Please contact Donna if you can help out as ‘Treasurer-in-Training’.

Treasurer Job Description
This job requires only two hours each month and no accounting skills are needed. Accounts are entered into a simple computer system. It would be possible to job share with another person by each being responsible for certain tasks. Tasks are GST bi-monthly, PAYE monthly, paying bus driver wages fortnightly, invoicing bus fees, and paying 20th month accounts.
