The Pukekohe East School Bus Society’s latest Quiz Night has been a resounding success, raising more than $9000 for the school’s bus service.
The annual event took place this past Saturday, June 30 at the Pukekohe East Community Hall. New Zealand Herald sports journalist Andrew Alderson was the quiz master, with Bayleys national auctioneer Richard Valintine calling the auctions.
Bus Society Chairman Niko Kloeten says the Quiz Night was both an enjoyable evening and a great fundraiser, with more than 100 people attending.
“Thank you to all of our committee members and other volunteers who helped out before, during and after the Quiz Night. We also owe a big thank-you to Andrew as quiz master and Richard as auctioneer, and to Tim Gregory for providing the quiz questions and AV equipment.
Finally, I wish to thank all the businesses, families and individuals in our community who supported the Bus Society by donating goods and services to be auctioned. Our school bus is a valuable asset to the school and wider community, and their support plays a big part in keeping it going.”
The Bus Society wishes to thank the following donors: Hampton Downs, Kingstons Partners, Stihl Pukekohe, the Vink Family, The Pilates Room, Waterslide, Mania/Harrex family, Barfoot & Thompson (Brendon and Louise Moore), The Difference Catering, Laminex, Samone’s Cooking School, Mitre 10 Pukekohe, Harleh Laser Clinic, LaValla Estate, Balance Your Life, Chloe Cooper, Tan Box, The Good Home, Maxwell’s Golf, Bauer Media, Valentines, the Evans Family, Counties Fitness, Noel Leeming, the Wharfe Family/Franklin Country Meats and the Tapper family.
