Harmless fun for dads, mums and kids. Your upper body is safely enclosed in a huge inflatable bubble and you try to score by bouncing, rolling, bumping and flipping over. No soccer ability required.  Families who help at the working bee can play Bubble Soccer. $10 pp to enter.

Sunday 29 June

Bubble Soccer kicks off at 12.30pm on the school soccer field, following the working bee 10am to 12 noon.

Working Bee jobs:

  • Plant native trees in native reserves
  • Rake up bark around Adventure Playground.

RSVP to the school office or leave a reply on this post if you are coming. There’s a limited number of adult and child bubble suits so don’t delay.

Family Christian Centre & Valley Rd Bus Stops

Valley Road Bus Stop
Please note that children are not allowed to get off at the #67 Valley Road stop unless an adult is there to help them across the road. If no adult is waiting, the children stay on the bus and get off at the Family Christian Centre and walk from there (if their parents have made this arrangement) otherwise they can stay on the bus and return to school.

Family Christian Centre Bus Stop
Great to see so many parents using the new stop at the Family Christian Centre carpark on Belgium Road. The Family Christian Centre is kindly allowing us to use their carpark and all they ask is that we don’t park near the church building entrance where people are working.
See map below.

Bus Route Review Meeting 2 December 2014
Please mark in your calendars the bus route review meeting on Tuesday 2nd December at 7pm at school. December is a busy month and we wanted to get it on your calendars early. All bus parents are encouraged to attend. This is your opportunity to put forward your viewpoints and requirements and hear from others in deciding the 2015 bus route.

Child Safety at Bus Stops

Today is Day 2 of the new bus route. Thanks for your cooperation to make it run smoothly. The changes have highlighted the need for better child safety at bus stops.

Wait for the bus to depart before crossing the road
With the new route some bus stops have moved across the road. Some children don’t yet know how to cross the road safely. They must stand well clear of the bus and wait for the bus to depart before crossing the road. We strongly recommend that parents take time this week to show their kids how to wait and cross safely at their bus stop.

Parents are responsible for their child’s safety at the bus stop
Ideally parents should be waiting with their younger children at the bus stop in the morning, and waiting at the bus stop for their children in the afternoon. Some parents are happy for their children to cross the road and walk home alone, and some parents run late to meet the bus. Parents are responsible for their child’s safety at the bus stop.

Grace James Rd bus stop procedure
The Grace James bus stop has moved to the farm side of the road where there is no footpath. A large number of children use this stop. They should wait on the footpath outside 8A in the morning. When the bus stops opposite, the kids are to cross the road behind the bus in single file. In the afternoon the kids need to stand on the grass well clear of the bus and wait for it to depart before crossing to the footpath side.

The School Bus Route Review meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 2nd December 7pm at school. Please mark the date in your calendar. This is your opportunity to give feedback on the bus route for 2015.
